Three-term incumbent Bill Otto, R-Le Roy, filed Wednesday for re-election to the Kansas House of Representatives.
“The last two years in the House have not been much fun with good people out of work and budget problems all over,” Otto said in a press release. “My experience in school finance and children’s issues are very important to the people of Kansas.
“I am a little excited that the next election could bring more people to the Legislature who are interested in cutting the size of government in Topeka. The downside is that many people who are for cutting government do not feel it necessary to fund important obligations of the state. Prisons, schools, taking care of our most fragile citizens and pensions, just to name a few, are obligations that we just cannot walk away from,” Otto said.
