Pastor Steve Traw’s Sunday message, “With the Shepherd,” was taken from John 10:7-16.

Rita Sanders played “Holy, Holy” for the special music.

Don Britt celebrated his birthday Friday. Rick and Wendy Burton celebrated their anniversary Monday; Jim and Myrna Wildschuetz celebrated Tuesday.

The church fellowship dinner is at noon Sunday.

Pastor Traw leads Bible Study at 3 p.m. Tuesday on the first book of Corinthians.

Country club

The Carlyle Ladies Country Club met recently with Rita Sanders at the Carlyle Fellowship Hall.

Also attending were Naomi Chambers, Alice Dowell, Pauli Hawk, Joanne McIntyre, June O’Dell, Joyce Bratsch, Pat Shields, Joyce Sneed, Jeanice Cress, Sharon Grisier, Cheryl Klingensmith and guest Ruby Lucas.

Ruby Lucas presented a program on arranging silk flowers. She demonstrated two types of floral arrangements, a bud vase and a larger urn arrangement. She also made the floral arrangement in a mug used as the door prize, won by Sneed.

Lucas has a booth at the Treasure Chest.

Chambers will host the May meeting.
