With traffic already limited along U.S. 169 south of Iola, the entire stretch from the U.S. 54 intersection to Minnesota Road will be off limits starting Monday.
Concrete repairs along the three-mile stretch will require the closure, according to a Kansas Department of Transportation press release.
That portion of the road is expected to reopen by June 15.
U.S. 169 already is closed for pavement reconstruction from Minnesota Road south to Delaware Road, an additional seven miles.
Those affected by the new closure should follow the same state detour already put in place that follows U.S. 54, 75 and K-39.
