Modern Woodmen ends its season with an 8-1 record.
The win was payback after Iola Vision Source beat Modern Woodmen 8-4 on June 12.

Modern Woodmen pushed its lead to 3-0 after a single from Wyatt Westervelt in the third.
Iola Vision Source got hot after that, capitalizing on four straight Woodmen walks to score two and load the bases with two outs. Unfortunately, they would not be able to capitalize further, stranding three runners on base after a strikeout to end the third.
Both teams did little in the fourth but the Modern Woodmen responded in the top of the fifth with two more runs. The damage couldve been worse but Iola Vision Source starter Avery Blaufuss and the defense got out of a bases- loaded jam without falling further behind.
With the hour and 20-minute time limit slowly winding down, Iola Vision Source had just the bottom of the fifth to try to overcome their three-run deficit.
After starting the inning off with a strikeout Hutton began to slow, allowing four walks in the next five batters.
An Iola Vision Source run scored after a passed ball by the Modern Woodmen catcher allowed Kasen Fudge to scramble home and cut the lead to two.
With the tying run on first and the go-ahead run at the plate, Iola Vision Source attempted a two-out rally but to no avail as Hutton and the Modern Woodmen defense got the final out and the victory.
Hutton had a double and a home run, Isaac McCullough had a single, Jarrett Herrmann had a single and a double and Westervelt had a single.
Iola Vision Source did not have a hit but did rack up 13 baserunners.
