Memorial Day services at Highland Cemetery will start at 11 a.m. Monday and feature comments from Lt. Col. David Lee.
At 1:30 p.m. Sen. Jerry Moran will be at the Iola American Legion, 712 W. Patterson Ave. Veterans and their families are encouraged to attend the public event, during which Moran will make comments.
Memorial services for contributors to Elm Creek Community Garden begin at 10 a.m. at the garden in the 700 block of South First Street.
