ERIE, Kan. (AP) — A man is recovering in a Wichita hospital after being shot and wounded early Wednesday by agents of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Two agents have been placed on administrative leave pending a review of the shooting.
According to a statement from Attorney General Steve Six, the agents were investigating a possible methamphetamine lab in rural Neosho County near Chanute when they came upon two men. One of the men fled but was later arrested. The other man apparently got into a vehicle and drove at the agents, who then opened fire.
The man’s injuries were described as non-lifethreatening. The suspect was identified as Dwayne Lansdown, according to KOAM TV in Pittsburg.
