An Iola man who was arrested on Wednesday in connection to an armed robbery, bonded out of the Allen County Jail on the same day.

According to a jail employee, Robert Alvin Peterson, 39, posted bail and was released. No information on Peterson’s bond amount has been released.

Peterson was arrested on a search warrant by the Iola police department, but was booked on a felony charge of interference with law enforcement.

“There are multiple agencies involved, everyone has questions,” Iola police chief Jared Warner said, on Thursday. “One arrest has been made for aiding Mr. Hutton and we do anticipate making more arrests. I can’t really go into any more detail. We still haven’t received the paperwork from the arrest and are not ready to release any of that information.”

Aaron Hutton, 35, of Iola, remains behind bars at the county jail, after turning himself into authorities on Wednesday. Hutton faces felony charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping, theft by threat and obstruction of apprehension of prosecution.

Allen County Sheriff Bryan Murphy said that no new arrests have been made since Wednesday.

Warner said he does expect more arrests in connection to the case to be made.
