Register readers can dust off their prognostication skills, and perhaps win a prize in the process, as one of the NFL’s most heavily anticipated Super Bowl matchups approaches.
The Register is once again having its Super Bowl Sweepstakes, in which readers are invited to predict the final score of Super Bowl XVIV, pitting the New Orleans Saints against the Indianapolis Colts.
Advertisements appearing on pages 6 and 7 of tonight’s Register list the 108 businesses where readers can predict the Super Bowl’s outcome and win prizes.
One guess is allowed per location and anyone is eligible to enter regardless of age, gender, political leanings or football savvy. Even owners and employees can try their luck. Each entrant can win only one prize.
Forty prizes will be awarded, with first prize of an oak entertainment center, valued at $699 and donated by Ulrich Furniture. Merchandise and gift certificates make up the balance of prizes.
Entry boxes will remain in place until sponsors close before game day, Feb. 7.
Winners will be announced in the Feb. 9 Register.
