Waters Hardware of Iola employee Vida Eley rings up Brad Watson’s purchase during the store’s soft opening Monday.
Store manager Jerry Watson said things were off to a smooth start as employees showed customers around the new location in the shopping plaza on North State Street.
The store currently has 12 people on staff, with six full-time employees, and management is still looking to hire additional workers, noted Watson.
