Area schools had enrollment events this week in preparation for the start of the school year, which begins Aug. 17 for preschool through sixth grade and ninth grade for Iola students.
Classes start on Aug. 18 for most middle and high school students at Iola, as well as students at Humboldt and Marmaton Valley schools.
