Pastor Traw announced Aaron Hodgden and Breanne Knavel will be married at the church Aug. 18. The church family is invited.
The Christian Strings, an all-female Dulcimer group from Mound City, will perform at the Carlyle Church at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12. The public is invited.
Brenda Clark sang a song she wrote for special music. Rita Sanders is celebrating her birthday today.
The church fellowship dinner followed.

Melvin and Linda Guenther traveled to Seaside, Ore., last week to attend the wedding of grandaughter Catherine Boynton. The Guenthers weekend guests were Chris and Mike Dutcher, Bartlesville, Okla. Gene and Naomi Chamberss Sunday dinner guests were Naomis grandson, Steven, wife Laurie and daughters Piper and Naomi, Overland Park.
