On Friday, 23 Iola High School FFA members traveled to Girard to compete in a leadership school.
The parliamentary team earned a state bid by placing second overall.
The novice ritual team placed ninth overall and are still waiting for parliamentary law (par law) contest results. The intermediate team placed fifth in ritual and fourth in par law.
Two years ago, many members of this team qualified as freshmen for the novice division but were unable to compete because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jadyn Kaufman placed 8th in the information test and Carly Dreher placed 10th.
