NEODESHA Iola High Schools FFA members brought home three district proficiency championships and four state degrees at last weeks Southeast District Selection Day.
Jack Eyster was a district winner with his landscape management supervised agricultural experience.
Brody Nemecek won with his swine and diversified livestock SAE.
Eyster and Nemecek will next be judged at the state level.
Nemecek, Jillian Keller, Annika Hobbs and Torre DePriest each received their state degrees. In order to receive such a designation, members must have earned or invested at least $2,000 and worked at least 600 hours, be enrolled in agriculture education for at least two years, maintain a 2.5 grade-point average or above, worked 25 or more hours of community service, be able to demonstrate 10 parliamentary procedures and have given a 6-minute speech.
