City Council members will partake in several discussions regarding utilities Monday.
On top of an appeal from Humanity House for the city to change its policies for past-due bills — see the related story here — Council members also will discuss a pair of upcoming natural gas and water line replacement projects.
They’ll also once again discuss water rates, and whether a rate hike is warranted in order to resume transfers to the city’s general fund, and to build up reserves for other capital improvement projects.
The Council also will discuss whether to hire a search firm to seek a replacement for City Administrator Sid Fleming, who announced previously he will resign in March; and the purchase of a new street sweeper.
The 6 p.m. meeting in the New Community Building at Riverside Park is open to the public.
