BOURBON COUNTY — A section of K-3 Highway in southern Bourbon County will be closed for a bridge replacement project starting Thursday.
The Kansas Department of Transportation said the Paint Creek Bridge, about 1½ miles north of the Bourbon-Crawford county line, is being replaced.
Motorists will be directed to follow K-7 Highway, about seven miles east of K-3 to divert past the bridge project.
Bridges Inc., based out of Newton, is overseeing the $1.8 million project.
Weather permitting, the new bridge should be open by the end of November.
