USD 257 elementary school students are invited to a “Celebration of Community” Saturday in Riverside Park, sponsored by St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.
The non-secular celebration will feature an assortment of games and activities.
The event is geared to celebrate the church’s backpack program and community outreach efforts, explained Chuck Apt, one of the organizers.
Free hot dogs, snow cones and cotton candy will be served.
Helping sponsor the celebration are Sonic Equipment Company, Walmart and Homeville Vending.
The activities run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Recreation Community Building in Riverside Park.
