Calling all small-town girls living in lonely worlds…

“Resurrection: A Journey Tribute” will bring its discography of 1980s rock-pop nostalgia to the Bowlus Fine Arts Center stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Nashville-based tribute band pays homage to one of the most popular rock groups of all time, creator of such standards as “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Open Arms.”

“Resurrection” faithfully recreates the experience of a 1980s Journey concert, featuring several musicians who have performed, written or recorded with some of the biggest names in the music industry — including Journey and front man Seve Perry.

The group vows to serve up “an impeccable coordination of sensory components including lighting, sound, video, staging and costumes. A combination of incredible musicianship, the vocal precision (and appearance) of the legendary Steve Perry, and stage presence has garnered the band nationwide acclaim. … Every show features one brilliant hit single after another, offering the perfect fusion of songs to captivate and transport audiences to the glorious age of arena rock. ”

Limited tickets remain available. Orchestra tickets sell for $22; $19 for the balcony. Student tickets are half price.

For ticket information, contact Traci Plumlee at the Bowlus office at 365-4765, or visit bowluscenter.org.
