LAWRENCE Humboldt High Schools journalism students may have been on cloud nine Saturday, or at least a higher stratosphere than pretty much any other school in the state.
Humboldts student journalists easily outdistanced all others in winning the Kansas Scholastic Press Association Class 2A state contest, the ninth straight state crown for HHS.
Students are rated in 22 different categories. Humboldt earned 63 points for the title. (The second place school earned 24.)
This year marks the 23rd state sweepstakes championship title during the programs existence.
