The life of Gordon Parks, a native of Kansas, will be featured at Tuesday night’s meeting of the Allen County Historical Society. The meeting is open to the public and begins at 7 p.m., at the Frederick Funston Meeting Hall.
Jill Warford, director of the Gordon Parks Museum and Center for Culture and Diversity at Fort Scott Community College will deliver “Gordon Parks: Renaissance Man.” It will include material about his life and his career as a photographer, writer, musician and filmmaker.
Warford previously taught speech and theater at Independence Community College where she also served as director of the William Inge Theatre Festival.
