Seth Andrew Bennett, 25, Gas, was arrested Sunday in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries in a residential neighborhood.
Iola police officers said Bennett was arrested after they responded to a burglary report in the 600 block of East Lincoln Street.
During their investigation, they spotted a man later identified as Bennett in the front yard of 404 N. Elm St. in possession of items later to be determined from two vehicles at 633 N. Oak St. belonging to Billy and Aaron Clay.
Police officers also discovered items had been taken from two vehicles in the 500 block of North Elm Street and at least two homes in the 600 block of East Lincoln. Carolyn Cantrell, 512 N. Elm St., was identified as one of the victims.
Officers said they are pursuing charges of burglary and felony theft against Bennett through the Allen County attorney’s office.
Many of the stolen items were recovered, although some remain missing.
