ARKANSAS CITY — William “Billy” Carson, 61, has been charged in Cowley County District Court with intentional second-degree murder in the death of his wife, Terry Carson, 68, a former Iolan.
Terry Carson died at the couple’s home in Arkansas City June 26.
Billy Carson remains in the Cowley County Jail. His bond is $500,000.
He was arrested when officers were notified by a 911 call from a neighbor that his wife had suffered injuries at the couple’s home. He was there when officers arrived, as was his wife’s body.
Terry Carson, born in Iola April 7, 1943, was the daughter of Dennis and Doris (Weatherman) Blohm. She was a 1961 graduate of Iola High School. She was a teacher in Burlington, Wellington and Wichita. The Carsons were married Aug. 5, 1972.
