Zoey Rinehart piled up the purple Tuesday evening.
The Logan Pals 4-H member was named grand champion in clothing construction, constructed garment revue, fiber arts and girls buymanship at the annual 4-H Style Revue.
On top of that, Rinehart, along with McKenna Powell, earned the Gayla Allen Memorial Shears Award, given to select 4-H’ers who interview well and show “outstanding sewing skills” with creating their own garments. Rinehart received the Allen award for Level III-IV members; Powell for those in Level I-II.
The style revue followed the annual Friends of 4-H Picnic, celebrating those who support 4-H youths throughout the year, and in the runup to the Allen County Fair, which launched Tuesday.
The Fair activities will transition to Riverside Park starting Thursday with a full slate of activities.
The Fair runs through Monday at Riverside Park. (See a full schedule of events on Page A2.)
