SAVONBURG Savonburgs Virginia Masonic Lodge No. 315 will host a fish fry and mountain oyster feed from 5 to 8 p.m. April 21 at the Elsmore Community Center. The meals will be available for free-will donations.
IN AN unreleated matter, the Masonic Lodge will host free cancer screenings at the Savonburg Community Center, 101 S. Walnut St., from 9 a.m. to noon May 12.
Screenings for skin, prostate and colon cancer will be offered, as will body mass index assessments.
The screenings are co-sponsored by Savonburg PRIDE, Kansas Masonic Center Research Institute, Midwest Cancer Alliance and the University of Kansas Cancer Center.
