BRONSON — Eugene Webber, 42, was killed early Sunday morning in a house fire.
The fire was reported at about 2:30 a.m. The single-story house was fully engulfed when firefighters from Bronson and Bourbon County District 3 arrived at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Department.
The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s office was on the scene through the morning.
An account has been set up for the Webber family — he lived in the home with his wife, daughter and mother-in-law — at Union State Bank in Uniontown.
