With a committee of only six, planning the upcoming Farm-City Days has become a daunting challenge.
“Our numbers are slowly becoming small enough, and we’re being stretched thin enough that I don’t know what this year’s celebration is going to look like if we don’t get more help,” committee chairman Mike Jewell said.
The Farm-City Days Committee meets tonight at 7 o’clock at the North Community Building at Riverside Park to discuss plans for the 2012 celebration.
Jewell hopes to see prospective volunteers. Among the activities requiring more manpower or planners are the battle of the bands, car show, arts and craft booths, food booths, parade and Family Fun Night.
“We’ll try to keep the activities simple so anybody can help,” Jewell said.
The committee will accept individual volunteers or local groups eager to get involved.
Those unable to attend tonight’s meeting are encouraged to call 365-6166.
“We just desperately need more people or groups to get involved,” Jewell said.
