Endowment workshops today

Kathryn Miree, a consultant who works with non-profit agencies and other foundations to develop fundraising programs will present a pair of workshops today on charitable planning and endowments.

The first, “The Top 10 Charitable Planning Ideas For the Current Environment” is geared toward professional advisors and runs from 3 to 5:30 p.m. the Creitz Recital Hall of the Bowlus Fine Arts Center. While the session has a specific audience, the public is invited to attend, said Susan Michael, executive director of the Allen County Community Foundation. Registration begins at 2:30.

A second workshop, running tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the Creitz Recital Hall, is geared more for the general public.

Miree and Allen County Community Foundation members will be on hand to discuss “The Five Steps To a Successful Endowment.”

The Community Foundation of Allen County is dedicated to ensuring a higher qualify of life for Allen County in a wide areas, including education, health care, escaping poverty, arts and the environment.
