Barring any unforeseen difficulties over the next day or so, Dollar General should open its doors in Gas sometime Wednesday afternoon.
“When we open, it will be to our regular hours,” said Tabitha Flanagan, a district manager.
The Dollar General franchise will be the third in Allen County, including stores in Iola and Humboldt. Flanagan said a grand opening celebration is planned for sometime in the next few weeks.
The Gas opening is part of a nationwide expansion effort for the Dollar General chain. Bloomberg News reported 1,000 Dollar General stores are opening across the country this year, pushing the total to 14,000.
