SJCF, the Wichita architectural firm working with USD 257 on new school projects, will unveil the elementary school design at the school boards meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the board office, 305 N. Washington.
The presentation is expected to include a walk-through video.
SJCF also will share updates on the design plans for a new science building at the high school campus, after making revisions based on community comments. Some patrons were concerned about having floor-to-ceiling glass around the cafeteria, which architects said was important to offset the structures more austere storm shelter areas.
The public is invited to attend to see what the building will look like.
Voters in April 2019 approved $35 million to build a new elementary school; a new science and technology building; and new heating, cooling and ventilation systems at the middle school.
