COLONY — Crest superintendent and principal Chuck Ma-hon will leave the district in July to serve as an elementary school principal in Tonganoxie, according to The Anderson County Review.

Mahon has led USD 479 for four years.

Mahon told The Review he’s happy with his accomplishments at Crest, including work on the building and parking lot. He also cited technological upgrades. All sports teams received new uniforms and a strategic plan was put in place for more improvements. He said he was especially proud to establish baseball and softball programs, which started this year.
