The inaugural Iola High School FFA chapter mattress sale was a rousing success Sunday, with scores of shoppers paying a visit to the Iola High School gymnasium. At top, the gym floor became a rather comfy showroom, with families welcome to test out each mattress for comfort and firmness. At lower left, Olivia McClain, left, and Maxton Coltrane crawled atop one display, while at lower right, Benjamin and Genevieve Strode were more interested in seeing how well they could bounce. Unofficially, 80 mattresses were sold during the seven-hour sale, although final figures — including how much the FFA chapter will receive for its efforts — won’t be available until the end of the week, adviser Amanda Strickler said.
