A two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon killed a Chanute man.
Clayton C. Leach, 29, Chanute, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided head-on with a southbound car driven by Matthew J. Kunzie, 26, Tulsa, about 4½ miles south of Chanute on U.S. 169.
Troopers with the Kansas Highway Patrol said Kunzie crossed the center line before the accident occurred.
Leach was declared dead at the scene.
Kunzie was taken to the hospital for what troopers described as disabling injuries.
