Five people were taken to the hospital, including one to a medical center near Kansas City, following a two-vehicle accident north of Iola Sunday evening.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Ami S. Goldner, 46, Kincaid, was westbound on West Virginia Road, about 5 miles north of Iola, when her minivan was struck on the passenger side by a northbound pickup driven by Russell L. Beth, 47, Blue Mound.
Beth was northbound on 1400 Street; Goldner failed to stop at a stop sign, according to KHP.
Ami Goldner and two passengers, Kahloey Valentine, 3, and Karen Strunk, 5, were taken to Allen County Hospital for possible injuries. A fourth passenger, Stephanie M. Goldner, 26, Iola, was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
Beth also was taken to ACH.
All of the occupants were properly restrained,
according to KHP.
