For more than 50 years, the Bowlus Fine Arts Center has brought waves of entertainment to Allen County and the surrounding areas.

The center’s history will be brought under the spotlight at 7 p.m. Tuesday, when Moran’s Larry Manes, an Allen County Historical Society member, will discuss the iconic building’s origins. The presentation will include the center’s construction, opening and notable events, up to today.

After the lecture, the Mary L. Martin Gallery will be open to the public to view Anastacia Drake’s artwork one last time before it is returned to Drake. The exhibit features  one-of-a-kind artwork, including a few pieces she created just for the Bowlus.

As always, the meeting is free and open to the public to attend, and the Society will provide snacks and refreshments.

For more questions, call or email the museum at 620-365-3051 or [email protected].

Attendees are asked to use the Bowlus’s east entrance.
