Nathan Gill, a former Iolan now living in Washington, D.C., was out and about Wednesday to catch pictures of Washington’s iconic cherry blossoms in bloom. He was kind enough to share some of his images, including these near the Jefferson Memorial. The Washington area had a warm winter and an early spring, inducing the trees to reach the full bloom stage much earlier than usual, Gill said.
