Eight-year-old Hadley Thompson reads a book to her sister, Lilian Kelly, and therapy dog Charley at the Iola Public Library Friday afternoon. The reading event was sponsored by Iola Reads and Prairieland Visiting Animal Association of Lawrence. The group brought dogs that are trained to sit and listen as a child reads.
