GARNETT A round of videos making their way across social media depicting the Keke Challenge led to a local high-schooler being hospitalized, Anderson County Sheriff Vernon Valentine reported Friday.
The Keke Challenge is an online video craze in which a person steps out of a moving vehicle while attempting to do a dance move and keep pace with the vehicle.
Three high-schoolers attempted the feat in Anderson County on Thursday, Valentine said.
While declining to identify the injured, or the type of injury, Valentine said one of the youth failed the challenge and was taken to the hospital.
The incident remains under investigation. Valentine said criminal charges could result.
