Allen Co. still without positive COVID-19 cases

State reports 1,705 positive cases as of Friday morning with 84 deaths.

Allen County remains one of the few counties in Southeast Kansas without a report of a positive COVID-19 coronavirus case. 

Elsewhere in the region, Anderson and Elk counties also have not reported any positive cases.

Statewide totals stood at 1,705 positive cases as of Friday morning, with 84 deaths and 375 hospitalizations. The state has conducted 15,196 negative cases.

Allen County has tested 86 residents, a rate of 6.95 per 1,000 people. That’s among the higher rates for the state. The SEK region and Eastern Kansas as a whole are testing at higher rates than the less-populated western part of the state.
