Charles Wells Jr., who will help Allen County commissioners with financial issues when they decide how to approach improving healthcare through Allen County Hospital, will moderate a meeting Tuesday for elected officials from throughout the county. The meeting, also open to the public, will be at 7 p.m. in the former LaHarpe Elementary School, now home to the town’s city hall.
Also at the meeting will be Steve Lewallen, a representative of the county’s consulting firm, Health Facilities Group, Wichita.
Wells, president of Healthcare Financial Advisors, Inc., Shawnee Mission, will lay out the complexities of hospital finance and how it might be done to support whatever commissioners decide to do with ACH, remodel the hospital or build anew.
Mary Ann Arnott, president of the citizens advisory group, Hospital Facilities Commission, arranged for the meeting. Others will be scheduled as more information becomes available.
