Moran’s new fitness center, 54 Fitness, will have its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Healthy snacks will be provided by area churches and Moran Manor will provide bottled water. Registrations will be taken and exercise equipment will be demonstrated. The first day of operation is yet to be determined because city council members are awaiting the installation of a security system by CDL Electric Company.
Membership cost is $10 per household and residents of Moran may have the membership fees included in their monthly utility bill. Anyone outside of Moran may join and pay the membership fee at the City Hall or by leaving it in the City Hall’s drop box. The fitness center will be open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to midnight once the security system is installed. There is an additional $10 fee for the swipe entry system.
