Iolan Alex Benedict donated nearly five years of hair more than 16 inches Friday to Wigs For Kids, a group that provides wigs or other services for youngsters dealing with the side effects of cancer treatments or other medical issues. The impetus for Benedicts donation was to honor his grandmother and other friends who had been afflicted with cancer. Benedict is uncertain whether hell allow his hair to grow or if hell retain his new style. Manning the clippers for Benedicts haircut was Jerri Lieurance of Addictive Trendz Salon in Iola.
