[Wedding] Weide – Stansbury

Kincaid-Selma United Methodist Church in Kincaid was the 3 p.m. March 27, 2010, setting for the wedding of Sarah Weide and Brian Stansbury, Iola. Pastor John Sheehan performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Les and Sharon Weide, Iola, and the groom is the son of Ellis and Alice Stansbury, Kincaid.
The bride wore a white short sleeve A-line gown that included a chapel-length train. The bodice featured ruching and was encrusted with Austrian crystals, pearls and glass beads. She carried a bouquet of plum, lavender and white roses. Also included in her bouquet was her grandmother Cassie Damron’s handkerchief.
Jamie Wildschuetz, Jasper, Mo., served as maid of honor. Stefanie Anschutz, Parkville, Mo. was bridesmaid. Flower girls were nieces of the bride, Katie Weide, Iola, and Aurora Weide and Dakota Weide, Fredonia. Candle lighters were Lois Weide, Frednoia, niece of the bride, and Lauren Stansbury, Manhattan, niece of the groom.
Serving as best man was Doug Ramsey, Colony. Groomsman was Alan Stephans, Kincaid. Ethan Weide, Iola, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Andy Weide and Kevin Howerton, Iola, and Chris Weide, Fredonia, brothers of the bride, served as ushers.
Attending the guest book was Marla Wilson, Iola. Door greeters were Nevin Dove, Sulphur Rock, Ark., cousin of the bride, and Trey Wilson, Iola. Handing out programs was Blake Mittelmeier and Hunter Mittelmeier, great-nephews of the bride.
A reception followed in the church fellowship hall. The cake was made by the bride’s mother. Assisting at the reception were Chris Bruce, Nashville, Tenn., and Ginger Stansbury, Manhattan, sisters of the groom, and Kris Weide and Ronna Howerton, Iola, and Naomi Weide, Fredonia, sisters-in-law of the bride.
Mrs. Stansbury is a 2001 graduate of Iola High School, 2003 graduate of Allen County Community College and 2006 graduate of Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in commercial graphics. She is a graphic design specialist at The Iola Register. Mr. Stansbury is a 1994 graduate of Crest High School and 1996 graduate of Allen County Community College. He is self-employed.
Following a honeymoon cruise to Progresso and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple are at home in Iola.
