Heather Gartrell, Stockton, and Nathan Mentzer, Neosho Falls, were married at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009, in Stockton United Methodist Church. The Rev. Darlene Nonhof performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gregg and Susan Gartrell, Stockton, and the groom is the son of Craig and Denise Mentzer, Neosho Falls.
Ashley Vogel, Newton, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Bonnie Brewer, Newton, Rachel Bloom, Springfield, N.J., and Amanda Mentzer, Neosho Falls.
Attending the groom as best man was Andrew Monfort, Youngstown, Ohio. Groomsmen were Brian Sandon, Nevada, Mo., Matt Kristalyn, Rapid City, S.D., and Miles Mentzer, Manhattan.
Mrs. Mentzer is a 2004 graduate of Stockton High School and a 2008 graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in family and consumer sciences education.
Mr. Mentzer is a 2002 graduate of Iola High School and a 2006 graduate of KSU. He is employed by Black and Veatch as a systems design engineer on the Plum Point Power Partnership in Osceola, Ark.
Following a coastal Maine honeymoon, the couple are at home in Whitton, Ark.
