McPherson County Old Mill Museum, Lindsborg, was the 5 p.m. June 12 setting for the wedding of Brandie Jane Barker and Brandon Carl Nelson, both of Lindsborg. Randy McCalla, Olathe, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John Barker, LaHarpe, and Donna Ross, Moran, and granddaughter of Sterling Barker and Diana Ross, Moran.
The groom is the son of Jim Nelson, Lindsborg, and Van Nelson, Lenexa. He is the grandson of Lillian Nelson, Lindsborg, and Mary Baumgartner, Salina.
Emily McConnaughey, Topeka, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kimy Nash, Wamego, and Julie Barstow and Amy Barker, both of Manhattan. Serving as a junior bridesmaid was Alexis McCalla, Olathe.
Best man was Allen Johnson, Lindsborg. Groomsmen were Chad Nelson, Shawnee, Jared Nelson, Chapman, and Matt Sandbo, Lyons.
Following a honeymoon to Yellowstone National Park, the couple are at home in Lindsborg.
Mrs. Nelson received an associate of arts degree in 1998 from Coffeyville Community College and a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications in 2000 from Kansas State University. She is a store manager for Walgreens in McPherson.
Mr. Nelson earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal science in 2001 from KSU. He is employed by Multi Community Diversified Services in Lindsborg.
