Iola United Methodist Women met Feb. 25 following an extended break due to COVID-19.
Jan Knewtson provided the meal.
A card of appreciation was received from Hope Unlimited for the $100 donation.
Donna Grigsby shared an article about providing sandwiches and lunches for those in need in California.
Members agreed to donate $70 to the World Blanket Fund.
The improvement of women’s lifestyle, wages, and treatment, as well as the continued problems related to women’s level of oppression in the world, were shared. United Methodist Women advocate for equality for women.
The next meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. March 25 at Calvary United Methodist.
