Iola High School’s forensics team took home 10th among all Class 4A schools Saturday at the State Speech and Drama Championships, hosted by Washburn Rural High School in Topeka. At right, Karly McGuffin, center, took home second in Oral Interpretation of Prose, while Allie Fager, left, and Lexie Vega, right, teamed to take third in Improvised Duet Acting. Jiejie Burleson finished eighth in Serious Solo Acting. Emma Weseloh finished 13th in Oral Interpretation of Prose and 14th in Oral Interpretation of Poetry.
