Ty Scharff, a senior at Marmaton Valley High School, has been awarded an Alumni Legacy License Plate Scholarship to Pittsburg State University.
Scharff has been accepted into the Honors College at PSU where he plans to major in pre-pharmacy and history.
PSU also recognized Scharff as a Crimson and Gold Scholar and awarded him an academic achievement award and the Valedictorian Award.
Scharff is the son of Derek and Leigh Scharff of Elsmore.
