Talamante is a construction company owner in Pagosa Springs, Colo., who works with hunting outfitters.

Members of the local Kansas First Upland Pioneers chapter awarded $1,000 to the Humboldt school district to help finance a trap shooting team for middle and high schools students Saturday at the National Wild Turkey Federatin banquet in Iola.
