Dylan Graham Porter and Erin Michelle Murphy, Los Angeles, were married Oct. 3, 2015, at Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
The bride is the daughter of Patrice Playter, Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Michael Murphy, Davenport, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Helen Elizabeth Dorsey and James S. Playter, New York, N.Y., and Mary Abernathy Pughilli and Stewart Francis Murphy, Northport, N.Y.
The groom is the son of Dr. Frank and Robyn Porter, Iola. He is the grandson of Beverly Hill and the late R.W. Hill Jr., Claremore, Okla., and Mary Osborn, Iola, and the late Dr. T.O. Osborn, as well as the late Ed Porter of Denver.
Officiating was Justin Mechling, West Hollywood, Calif.
The bride’s maid of honor was Megan Dor-sey Murphy, Sherman Oaks; matron of honor was Jill Murphy Falvo, Ashburn, Va. Bridesmaids were Lauren Hughes, Prairie Village, Michelle Owens, Charlotte, N.C., Torry Johnson, Brookfield, Conn., Bianca Dobrikovic, Los Angeles, and Lauren Landy, Boulder, Colo.
The groom’s best man was Christopher Porter, New Orleans. Groomsmen were Alex Porter, Denver, Keven Falvo, Ashburn, Va., Jordan Hughes, Prairie Village, Bradley Livesay, Atlanta, Ion Andronic, Chicago, Marco Griego, Norman, Okla., Mitchell Douthett, Topeka, and Jeremy VanNice, Wichita.
The bride earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications and in global studies in 2011 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a 2012 United States Fulbright Scholar. She works at Carl-thorp School in Santa Monica, Calif.
The groom earned his bachelor of science degree in education in 2008 and a master of arts degree in curriculum and instruction in 2012 at the University of Kansas. He also works at Carlthorp School.
Following a honeymoon at Meeru Island, Maldives, Porter and Murphy continue to live in Los Angeles.
