Five arrested after warrant executed
Iola police officers executed a search warrant Thursday afternoon in the 200 block of North Third Street.
During the warrant, officers discovered what they described as illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Jessica Rogers, Marshall Jensen and Nicole Gardner were arrested for suspected possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Kayyla Perry was arrested for those charges, as well as suspicion of unlawfully obtaining a prescription drug.
James Shaw was arrested on a warrant out of Shawnee County.
Suspect sought
Iola officers were told Thursday a person’s identification items were stolen from The Mat laundromat in the 100 block of East Jackson Avenue. A suspect was identified and is being sought, officers said.
Fraud reported
Emprise Bank employees told police Wednesday morning that a subject had attempted to fraudulently secure a loan.
An investigation continues.
Theft reported
Diane Hyden told police Tuesday she was the victim of theft by deception.
Overhang struck
Cortez Chancellor was driving a box truck Tuesday when the vehicle struck an overhang at A&W Restaurant in the 1400 block of East Street. There were no injuries.
Vehicle burglary reported
Andrew Schreiner told police an item was stolen from his vehicle Monday while it was parked at Iola Walmart.
