Pedestrian struck

Iola police officers said Christopher Cooper, Iola, was struck by a black sport utility vehicle Friday in the 1400 block of East Street, near Coronado’s Restaurant.

The driver left the scene, officers said.

Cooper refused medical treatment at the scene, but was taken later to Allen County Regional Hospital for treatment.

Arrests reported

Stacy Splechter was arrested for suspicion of driving while suspended Friday evening in the 200 block of South State Street.

Allen County sheriff’s deputies arrested Harvey L. Burris, 48, Madison, for suspicion of domestic battery Thursday.

Deputies arrested Sheri L. Gagne, 34, rural Iola, for suspicion of domestic battery Thursday.

Ashley D. Rose, 36, Bronson, was arrested by deputies April 29 for suspicion of theft and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Donald F. Nichols, 31, Iola, for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and transporting an open container of alcohol April 26.

David C. Ramsey, 39, Moran, was arrested April 26 by deputies on a warrant out of Labette County.

Deputies arrested Temujin A. Gibson, 19, Wichita, for suspicion of driving under the influence and possessing with intent to distribute marijuana April 26.

Iola officers arrested Levi K. Martin, 33, Iola, April 25 for suspicion of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

Leonard L. Ladd, 64, Muskogee, Okla., was arrested by IPD April 24 for suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Driver cited

Scott Smail, 31, Iola, was cited for suspicion of driving while suspended, improper brake or turn signal and no proof of liability insurance April 28 in the 1000 block of East Carpenter Street.

Check stolen

Betty Hendricks told Iola police officers a check was stolen from the 300 block of South Third Street.

Money, wallet

Chloe Sell reported somebody stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a billfold from the 800 block of North Street.
